| If you want to join the Air Force, here is some Air Force information on how to get a high score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). The ASVAB is a standard test given to all applicants to the armed forces in order to test their strengths and weaknesses as well as pinpointing in which job titles they would be most suited to work. The basic score you will have to get in the ASVAB is the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) since this will determine if you are qualified to enlist. The AFQT measures your mathematical as well as your verbal abilities. For the Air Force, the minimum AFQT score is 36 out of a possible 99. Here are some tips on how to get a high score on the ASVAB, so that you’ll have the broadest choice of job titles. |

Enlisted jobs in the Air Force are known as Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs) which are divided into these general categories: operations, support, maintenance and logistics, finance and contracting, legal and chaplain, medical and dental and special investigations, which are further subdivided into specific job titles. |
